IRS FORM FILING
A corporation or other entity eligible to be treated as a corporation files IRS Form 2553 to make an election under section 1362(a) to be a S-Corporation.
An eligible entity uses IRS Form 8832 to elect how it will be classified for federal tax purposes, as:
- A corporation
- A partnership; and
- An entity disregarded as separate from its owner.
